Sending credentials, including passwords over email/chat is not always secure. PassMeOne provides a solution for encrypting the contents to safely transmit over the internet.
We offer an unprecedented level of control in your sharing exceeding other one time password services, we allow you to:
Determine the length the link will be available, whether its 5 minutes or 1 week.
Limit the number of times the link can be viewed.
Password protect your link.
Directly email your link.
Require Google Authentication to view a link.
Whitelist specific IPs to view a link.
What can you use PassMeOne for?
Sending Passwords: A great use of this App is to securely send another person usernames and passwords. A good way to transmit sensitive credentials is over multiple communication channels.
Sending Large Text: We allow up to 50,000 characters in the text field. This allows anyone to send quite a bit of information to another person. You may need to send someone a sensitive string of messages from another communication channel.
Encode or Encrypt Before Hand: In case you want extra protection, you can encrypt your message from another software/utility and add it to PassMeOne to send to someone. It's a little overboard, but more protection is never a bad thing.
We're serious about security!
Transmission Encryption: We do not support HTTP data transmissions, we force all connections over HTTPS for secure connectivity.
Text Encryption: All content/text added into the large text area is encrypted with multiple types of encryption including, but not limited to SHA256. All text entered in the contents section of a link is encrypted before entering the database, it is not plain text or anything of the sort. We can't even see what the contents of a link are.
Hard Deletes: Once a link is expired or exhausted, the link and it's contents are HARD deleted. This means that the link and it's contents are fully deleted; they can never be recovered. We do not soft delete; we do not just flag content as deleted and keep them in the database.
Long Links: We want to keep anonymity for our URL's. It's almost impossible to guess one of these URL's.
Crawling: We do disable bot crawling on the sensitive pages. This prevents links from being found.
Server Security: Our servers are updated at least monthly for non-critical/security updates. We do install any critical updates that are available. We also have software/hardware firewalls hardened to protect intrusions and other types of attacks. Access to the servers is very limited along with access to our database.
Old Links: Since 30 days is the longest a link is valid for, we have a backend process to remove any stale links that may have not been used and are expired. This is run frequently to weed out any links that have passed their expired time. Not only is there code to handle this, but it's hard deleted from the backend as well.
